Hazy, dullish tan-gold. Not much head. Aroma has some orangey, grapefruity hop, with a little lychee brightness. Has a fair bit of bitterness but it comes with a hop-powder sulphury note...I don’t know if I’m describing that well...but it’s not a great taste and leaves a sort of astringent scraping on the tongue. Overall, that harsh bitterness detracts from an otherwise decent ISA, since it takes away from that grapefruity hop.

Draft at the brewery. Hazy golden, thin head. Fruity, berryish nose. Lots of pale malts, a bit biscuity, quite sweet. Low hop bitterness, has a hint of hop fruitiness. A perfectly functional golden ale from 1994.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear burgundy with a small white head. Aroma brings it lots of blackberry upfront, with subdued bourbon in back, though the bourbon barely comes through. Flavour brings out the blackberry compote upfront and loads of it, with only subtle character of the bourbon. I wish the barrel character would be much more aggressive, as this could've been something really good. As is, it's a fairly sweet blackberry beer that is fun to sip and without much complexity. Fun beer.

Draught at the brewery
Ruby color, hazy, with pink head. Mild fruit character, enough body, moderate sweetness, almost no tartness, a bit woody in the final; the bitterness is ok; there is a strange light note, could be the Bourbon. But also some butter, out of place.
Inoffensive fruit beer, the crown for whom this is brewed will like it.

On tap at the brewery. Golden and bright, an odd look for the style. Medium head. Aroma is mellow, hoppy, with leafy accent and light coriander. Sweet, floral hop and esters are nice, though the sweetness picks up again in the finish. I like the style, but the sweetness is a knock on this particular example.

Cloudy yellow, thin head, orangey, fruity aroma with light coriander. Full body, touch of wheaty acidity, lots of orange, citrus character. Gotta be the best beer in the modern incarnation of this brewery.

On tap at Red Truck, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out a good balance of piney hops and spicy Belgian yeast, with a noticeable astringency. Flavour is similar, with piney hops, spicy Belgian yeast and even a sweetness to it on the finish. Slight vegetal quality but it's minor. Decent beer.
