On tap at Tin Whistle, pours a deep dark reddish brown / near-black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out light notes of honey, not much else. Flavour is balanced between light roasted malt and light honey. Clean and drinkable enough. Easy, but boring.

On tap at Tin Whistle, pours a hazy reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and light fruitiness. Flavour is very bland, with toasted malt and maybe a slight hint of fruitiness. Restrained, weak and boring. Pointless beer.

On tap at Tin Whistle, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out light biscuity notes and not much else. Flavour is similarly bland, with cereal and dry biscuity malt. Clean and drinkable enough, but pretty boring and pointless.

650 ml bottle. Pours a dark mahogany color with very little head. Aromas of brown sugar and maple syrup. Flavors of dark caramel and sweet malts with a little maple syrup, somewhat balance by hop bittering and alcohol. A nice sweet scotch...

Cask at Tap & Barrel, Coal Harbor, Vancouver
Muddy amber color with no head. It has a light, pungent apricot aroma, and a light flavor of it too; but the beer is a yeast soup, undrinkable.
Needs some serious filtration or clarification, and teaching the bar staff how to handle it; selling it in this conditions is a crime.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Amber color, clear. Mild fruity aroma, a bit feety too. The mouthfeel is not too dry, it has some light bready malt flavor and light strawberry; regular bitterness.
Easy, maybe purposeless, but not offensive, and clean.

Hazy pale, thin head, a fair bit of coriander in the aroma (is this just the Dupontish yeast?). herbal hops, the beer is dry, herbal, rather fizzy. The pear is present, but subtle; the hops austere but nondescript; OK and I can get behind the concept.
