On tap at Hellers Brahaus, Koln, Germany, Saturday 29th March 2014 Pours cloudy yellow at first I detect a light sour unripe fruity edge on the nose which actually doesn’t materialise in the mouth, in fact it surprises me as it is jolly pleasant. I have enjoyed all of the Hellers beers this afternoon. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

On tap at Hellers Brahaus, Koln, Germany, Saturday 29th March 2014 Pours clear gold with white head. I have to say at first I thought this was a a bit too simplistic touch sweet but there is a good lasting steely bitter bite and the finish although some sweetness remains it is drying. 500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Cautious grainy, strawy, pale malty aroma, grassy and minimally floral hoppy overtones with a touch of lime. Taste is strawy, earthy bitter hoppy with a floral touch of hints of green apple. Not really balanced nor really tasty, but also not as thin and watery one-dimensional and boring as many Cologne’s Kölschs.

Im Antrunk findet man zuerst die überraschende Hopfigkeit bevor das Bier trocken röstig wird. Diese Trockenheit steht im Kontrast zum blumigen Hopfen zu Beginn, der jetzt nur noch bitter in Erscheinung tritt. Diese Bitterkeit steigt dann weiter und verdrängt die Röstigkeit zum Teil wieder. Trocknen hopfig bitter mit erdig malzigem Einschlag zum Ende. Nicht unbedingt ein typisches Alt - wenn überhaupt. 11/11/9/7/9/9

Viel besser als das Kölsch! Leicht herb-muffig, aber durchaus ok! Schöne Hefenote. Im Nachgeschmack wird es leicht herb und eine muffige Note verbleibt auf der Zunge.

Für ein Kölsch ziemlich herb, dabei aber irgendwie wässrig. Der Nachgesckmack ist komisch-herb-penetrant. Es hat was von "ranzigem Pappkarton", dabei aber irgendwie wieder blumig. Total komischer Aromenmix - auf der Zunge bleibt ein langer, ranziger Abgang

Der Geruch ist sehr schön weizig-brotig, schöne hefig. Im Geschmack ist es ziemlich herb für ein Weizen. Auch schmeckt es nicht wirklich hefig. Der Nachgeschmack ist chemisch-herb-komisch. Etwas nach altem Obst
