Cask at the Nags Head, Reading. A hazy pale copper coloured pour with a thin white head; sweet floral aroma; ripe dessert apple taste; and a sweet malty finish with a touch of caramel, leaving a dry feeling in the mouth. Not at all what I was expecting from a Cascade hopped beer.

Light to medium sweet flavour with ample scorched malts, moderate earthy bitterness, more bittersweet cocoa, some woody dryness. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Somewhat dry to finish, with further ashy roast, baking cocoa, scorched earth. A solid offering.
