Elusive Brewing creates beer with one eye on tradition and the other on taking things to the next level. Founded by a home brewer who went on to win awards at national level, from our small brewery in Finchampstead, Berkshire we’d like to share our game with you.

Bottle at home. Pours deep reddish amber, nose is caramel, cheesy, light fruit, raisins, taste is chewy, raisin, boozy, creamy, sweet.

Keg at Suds and Soda; clear copper pour with a bubbly beige head, sorachi lemon and coconut, taste has pretty big sorachi, bubblegum, some tropical hops.

Level 42 Bottleshare and no Mark King in sight. Thanks to Padraig. Clear brown beer, thin pale tan head. Soft dark malts with a little cream. Bitterish dark chocolate. Too much chilli bite. If you like beer to taste like chilli - recommended. If like me you are utterly over this sort of nonsense - avoid!

Cask at the 25th Egham beer festival, Egham, Surrey. A hazy amber coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Hoppy, malty, orange aroma. Tastes hoppy, malty, orange. Pleasant gear from this new brewery.

Bottle at home on 26th December 2016, received as gift. Pours hazy brown-copper with pale brown diminishing foam. Pungent earthy aroma. Hoppy in-mouth with a bitter grassy kick, followed by a sweet finish of apricot, citrus peel and grapefruit. Zingy mouthfeel and a fair amount of body.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark brown pour with a creamy beige head, aroma has dark fruits, some spirit, taste has rum n raisin chocolate, dark molasses, some winter slices.

Cask at Pig’s Ear Fest, Hackney, London. A black coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Tastes pretty much the same, roasty, malty, chocolate, caramel, sweet. Nice stout.
