Fra cask på The Craft Beer Company Covent Garden: mørkebrun kastanjefarge med ok skum. Et velsmakende maltdrevet øl med toner av ristet brød, urter, litt rosiner og mørke bær.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 22nd November 2025. Gold with disappearing foam and almost no lacing zesty and grassy aroma. Exquisite zesty peel and grassiness in-mouth and a finish of the same. Engaging mouthfeel and a fair amount of body. Superb

Tap at Elusive with Dad, 21st November 2025. Pours a thin clear brown. Aroma is sharp, fruits, lots of raw liquor, taste is sharp, almost tart, liquor, citrus and wood. Not that nice

440ml can. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of piney resin, orange peel. Taste is very resinous, piney, orange and grapefruit, a little marmalade and caramel, light-moderate bitter finish.
A solid APA, just thought the hops were less punchy than their usual.

Can from Against The Grain, 2025 edition. Hazy ruby/brown body with a thin beige head. Low carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of harsh booze, lemon, nutmeg, orange peel and dried cranberry. Flavour of bourbon and lemon with a boozy, harsh finish. Medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. I wanted to love this but I really didn’t. Elusive are great but this is my easily my least favourite of their beers. The flavours are kinda all over the place - the lemon sharpness doesn’t gel at all with the spices or the notes from the barrel. Everything clashes in this beer and the result is boozy and heavy.

440ml can, 2025 rebrew with just Citra & Mosaic this time? Pours a very dark brown with a big beige head. Aroma of dark chocolatey malts, a little roast, pine, grapefruit. Taste of grapefruit, pine, dark chocolate, light roast malts, toffee, dark fruits, strong bitterness. Medium bodied. Great example of the style, well balanced.
