Copper colored with a thin, frothy, white head. Aroma is grassy with a touch of butter. Taste is mildly bitter with a soft, caramel undertone. Medium-bodied, mild carbonation. Simple. Not bad.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Slightly hazy amber colour with a mediumsized foamy off-white head. Aroma is caramel, some bready and mild wheat tones with a bit of toasted elements. Flavour is toasted malts, some mild wheat, mild caramel and some slight metallic and strange burnt rubbery tones (which actually suit in quite well, but not sure if that's meant to be....). Strange Weizen, but so far in a good way.

--Bottled, from Landbierparadies, Nuremberg. -- Hazy amber, rich creamy head. Mild bready nose. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity and bready, almost no phenols. Low to medium bitterness. Understated weizen.

Big thank you to kappldav123 for this 0,33 l bottle. Drunk at New Years Eve. Clear mahangony, no head. Woody malty in the nose. Taste has a mix of vinegar, malt, barrel wood. Alcoholic warming and also sharpness. Rough.

Zwanzger Hausbräu, frische Flasche von Hopfen & Malz im Wedding. - Satt goldgelb, fast klar; sehr üppiger Schaum. - In der Nase leicht rustikales helles Malz mit leisen karamellig-toastigen Anklägen, ländlichen Zügen (Stallgeruch), ein wenig Butter und nicht zu knapper orangenfruchtiger Herbe - das klassische Kellerbier. - Antrunk kernig gerstig hellmalzig und trotz leiser Honignote kaum süß, dafür um so kräftiger gehopft mit pilstartig trockener, knackig hopfenwürziger Herbe. Milder rezent, schlank. Im Abgang aromatisch scharfe Hopfenbittere mit Orangenschale. Enorm langer Nachtrunk. - Klassisches, sehr stark gehopftes Kellerbier mit schönen ländlich-rustikalen Zügen, dabei sehr sauber und fast etwas asketisch in seiner kompromißlosen Bittere. Ähnelt sehr dem Zwanzger Vollbier. (10.11.2022.)
