Description
Black Isle was started by David Gladwin in 1998. An unemployed beer lover, he set out to make world-class beer using barley and hops, grown on organic farms, without the use of destructive chemicals. Black Isle Brewing Co is Scotland’s only organic brewery; pioneering craft beer from our beautiful, wild - and sometimes wet - Highland home. Organic is at the heart of everything we do - we believe in making great tasting beer using only natural ingredients, grown without the use of harmful chemicals. We care about seriously good beer, the environment and the future of our planet.

Gefällt mir sehr gut. Toller Schaum auch aus der Dose. Kräftiger, süsser und stärker als gewohnt, quasi ein leichteres Imperial.

12oz can pours a murky ruby brown with a nice cap of two finger white head. Malty nose, oats and dough, some treacle and baking spice. Malt and toast and butterscotch on the palate, some black pepper too and maybe black tea. Chewy, malty finish with perhaps just a bit of diacetyl.

330ml can, 6.8 % abv, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Really good looking in the glass with a stable off-white head leaving spotty lacing on the glassware, deep dark brown body. Inviting smell of roasted brown malts, bready. Fine balanced taste of toffee, bread, earthy chocolate, biscuit and some hints of spices. Mid-dry, roasted malty ending. Fine bodied. Good drinking. 4th August 2024 Can. Clear amber beer, decent bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, airy, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Biscuity malts, whisper of chocolate, fairly sweet. Ripe citrus on the back end and a little esters. Light and fairly dry finish. Tasty enough.
