A hazy orange beer with a dense beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, fruits, and a touch of flowers. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of fruits, and a bit of yeast giving it a spicy note.

(Bottle 100 cl) Pours pilsener golden with a slight haze and a neat creamy head with good retention. Quite malty in the nose. Fairly solid body with a very solid malt base and a distinct bitterness. Very solidly crafted - brewpub-style. Thanks to fiulijn for sharing. 120206

A hazy orange beer with a white head - unfiltered pilsener is not right, but for a different style fine. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of straw, while the flavor is sweet and very hoppy giving it a fresh grassy note too, besides a more subdued fruitiness, leading to a good bitter end. Great for a pilsener. Huge thanks to Alex (fiulijn) for sharing this seldom gem.

2009-03-26, 7.5% ABV, 8-4-8-4-17=41
Muddy dark cherry color. Nice aroma of malt, Bretts, cherries, cobwebs, dough. Medium body strength, but well structured, with caramel flavor, light sweetness, tartness, light astingency, light fruits. Correct bitterness, with a cheesy final astringency, light. Very good.
2005-12-29, bottle, vintage 2003, 2 years old, 6% ABV, 9-5-8-4-17=43
Cloudy dark amber color; huge creamy head; very lively.
Wonderful aroma, softly sour, a bit fruity, with a very light perception of flowers (violets). Persistent: it lasts till the end!
Medium body strength, high carbonation; itโs quite sour, with a light cherry fruitness, and most of all it has an extreme astringency, yet all the flavors fight for the balance.
Very bitter final, and astringent as well.
A big thank to Agostino, the brewmaster, for sharing this wonderful bottle, one more excellent brew from B.I.

Draught at the brewpub
Hazy amber color; thick creamy head. Spicy aroma, of cloves above all. Smooth taste, low carbonation (hand pumped, I donโt know if it can be considered cask conditioned), warm, well bitter, partially malty, some sweetness, delicate spices. Good, not extreme. Long final.

Exaggerately huge head, collapsing. Amber coloured with some pink-yellow shine. Nose is fruity, blackcurrant, but also a smell from Belgian 'ossewit' - purified cattle-fat for deepfrying. Taste is full of fruity flavours - peach, unripe brambles, anything (as it's often the case) BUT cassis. Sheesh. Retronasal lactic acid. Medium-bodied, no acid-burn. Nice beer, fruity beer, decent, but has it anything to do with blackcurrant?

Colour is foxy-orange, very little head, cream-white. Nose: DIACETYL!! D*MN! Taste is diacetyl again, but thank God, less. Hoppy flavour, resembling English hops - some English bitters have some levels of diacetyl too, indeed. Mouthfeel is also a little oily. Good body. There is no escaping the diacetyl flavour, not in the aftertaste neither, even not with all the hops here. What can I say? If I get hold of another bottle, I'll try again. When will they learn the merits of lagering and warm/cold storing?
