586 ml can. Pours a copper color with moderate head. Aromas of doughy malts, pine, and a bit of toffee. Flavors of same with emphasis on pine. Yep, a very old school malty IPA. Overall good, but what’s with the stupid huge can? I rather buy two small cans rather than have to consume what’s in the huge can in one sitting.

20oz (πŸ˜‘) shared @ Ryan's with Farees and Alex.
Aroma: a bir fruity with some flowery notes, good malt backbone.
Taste: along the same lines, noticeably bitter, piney.
Overall: quality old school West Coast IPA.

On tap at the brewery. Pours murky dull yellow with a white head. Citrus, tropical fruit, some pine on the nose. Flavour has juicy citrus and tropical fruit, a bit of pine, and a sweet malt base. A bit pithy on the finish. Pretty decent for what it is.

On tap at the brewery. Pours clear blonde with a white head. Pine and dank oils on the nose. Flavour has some tired pine, some dank oils. Body is a bit weak. Not bad.

On tap at the brewery. Pours hazy pale blonde with a white head. Very gentle pine and citrus on the nose. Flavour has pine, citrus, and some dank hops. It's okay, but I expected more from Bale Breaker.

On tap at the brewery. Pours clear gold with a white head. Resinous pine and dank oils on the nose. Flavour has bitter pine, some grapefruit peels, resins, and an oily dankness; nice malt base. This is far above the standard for this city; fantastic west coast.

568mL can, pours a mostly clear golden amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is full of resinous hops, loads of pine, and some bready caramel malt. Flavour is clean and assertively hopped, with loads of piney hops, some resins, a touch of grapefruit peel, and dry bready malt. Fantastic, bold piney hop character, ample bitterness and yet good malt support. This is frankly excellent.

On tap at Barley Merchant, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has some piney hops, citrus peel, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is a bit more grassy and herbal in the hop department, as well as piney and citrusy. Finishes crisp and grassy. Not the best hop expansion but not bad either. Bale Breaker wouldn’t put out WCIPAs this low quality but I’m sure they helped Yellow Dog up the quality of this. Decent.

On my second flight in the Drake Eatery on 14th August 2025. Hazy golden orange with a white crown. Fruity with a tropical leaning in both the aroma and flavours. Not my favourite on the flight, but pleasant enough.
