Clear golden and fairly light copper coloured body with a thick, large, four to five centimetre tall, microfoamed yet soapy-ish tan head. Aroma of pungent, dry herbal, candy-like fruity and sweet notes with some spiced pears and slight citrusey components, but the hops are still here, as well. Medium-bodied; Fairly crisp and dry flavours at first show up with a slight peach, peach and apple flavour, but soon after are the deeper notes, some herbal aspects, a bit of perfume and some soft sweetness all with a good deal of malt and of course, proper balance of hops. Aftertaste is clean, dry, floral and very full-flavoured, especially considering how light, airy and dry this is - the malt is definitely there, but this drinks pretty easily. Overall, a nice beer to sample and fits in fairly well for the style, but missing that added component of Belgian yeast, which is nonexistent here (as it does show up or is a key component, at least of other beers like Flying Dog Raging Bitch, etc). This one was good to try and a nice option for a Belgian-ish IPA. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Gettysburg Beer Mart in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on 12-May-2021 for US$4,49, canned on 14-August-2020 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 15-July-2021.
