Aroma: Has the typical pumpkin spice aroma, I get a lot of spice, and not much else
Appearance: Nice clear amber color, very minimal head, light lace
Flavor: Nice spice, malt flavor, not much atypical going on here, put good pumpkin flavors
Palate: Nice fizzy mouthfeel, medium body, drinks nicely
Overall Impression: My 1st Pumpkin beer of '09, and I'm watching the first NFL game of the year as I drink it, its officially fall now, that's for sure. This is a solid example of a style that I enjoy for it's ability to remind me of fall more then it's taste characteristics. I like starting my September off with a nice Pumpkin Ale like this one.

Hazy amber with a fairly large beige head. Aroma had fairly ripe fruits, rubber and toasted malt. Flavour had toasted malt, overripe fruits, malt and caramel notes. Finished sourish and a bit oxidized.

12 fl oz bottle, courtesy of CaptainCougar.Pours hazy orange with a small off-white head. Cheesy and overripe fruity dense barley wine aroma. Mild citrici to acidic, solid overripe fruity flavoured. Bitter and citric flavoured finish. A bit over the hill, still decent.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of CaptainCougar. Vintage 1998. Cloudy and opaque reddish amber with an off-white head. Fat, cheesy aroma. Solid body, tart and oxidized fruits with notes of blood and metal. No real bitterness. Over the top Iβm afraid. 300809

Overall Impression: These guys make a decent Amber, it's nothing special, pretty simple and subdued, but still tasty, and it's a solid local (sort of) beer to where I live, so it's got that going for it...

Overall Impression: Generously, I'll call this a half decent brown, dull flavors, slightly malty, not much there...

Bottle. Black body with a tan-colored head, moslty lasting. Aroma of milk chocolate, roasted malt, latte and toast. Moderately sweet, lightly bitter flavor, but the finish is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. The moderate bitter bite is a nice contrast to the sweet malts. Medium body with a creamy texture. Mild carbonation. Fairly straightforward oatmeal stout, but well done.

Overall Impression: I've had this one a few times. I like it, but it's not so memorable that I can really give it a proper rating after not drinking for at least a year...We'll call it a 3-3.5 for now and split the difference.

Aroma: Not too strong, mostly hops and earth, a little lemon
Appearance: Orange/amber color, light and clear, small white head
Flavor: Decent hop flavor, with some citrus sweetness
Palate: OK mouthfeel, lightish body
Overall Impression: An overall drinkable and average IPA. I liked it, but in a style this good you need to something special to make a beer standout, and this one doesn't have that.

Overall Impression: Decent winter ale, with a toasty flavor, good effort I guess, but there's something missing that makes it just not work quite right.
