Bottle. Clear copper with slight off white head. Lovely floral aroma. Medium body and carbonation.Bright fruity foretatse with a nice sweet maltiness transitioning to a good fresh hoppy bitterness and a long bitter finish. A lovely refreshing beer; perhaps a little ion the bitter side for my taste.

37.5 cL bottle, doesn’t seem be easily placed under any of the two other Cascade stouts despite the same ABV. Pours dark brown with a lacing tan head. Malt and chocolate aroma. Flavour is mild roasted. Medium sweet and roasted malt with a nicd chocolate note lingering into the finish. Light roasted and bitter finish.

(Bottle 37,5 cl) Pours a clear golden with a white head. Lightly sweet malt aroma with a whiff of aroma hops. Medium body with sweet malts and a touch of cardboard. Lightly hoppy finish. Getting a bit nostalgic here as this was my favourite brew when I visited Tasmania in 1988. But either my palate or the beer has changed since then - probably both. 210108

(Can 37,5 cl) Pours a clear, golden with a neat, white, lacing head. Sweetish malt aroma. Medium-bodied, a little low in carbonation with sweet notes of malt, brewing cereal and an edge of cardboard. There’s actually a discreet whiff of hops in the finish and also some alcohol presence. But Pale Ale? Not really. 240108

Bottle. Pale, little head. Little aroma either. Reasonable malty taste, for a low alcohol beer. Watery palate with reasonable carbonation. If I have to drink a light beer in Australia, it’s my first choice. But otherwise I wouldn’t touch it.
