Thin frothy head left a cover on an unclear amber coloured body. Earthy, light malt & fruity aroma. Medium bodied, minimal carbonation & clean with a dry back. Earthy, bitter, stone fruit & marmalade tastes. Nice.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby Pours jet black with a small cream head. AS to the nose, well the first sniff ave me vanilla, the second gave me dark chocolate and the third ave me rye bread â so take your pick ! In the mouth there is an initial watery sweetness which gradually becomes more bitter as you progress. Flavours include dark fruits, rye bread, raisins and malts. Finish is fruity and bitter. Lots happening here, but a bit of a mess really.

Sampled from someone at Borefts Beer Festival 2015. Pours clear brown with a small light brown head. Aromas of malt, smoke, hops, some dark fruits. Taste is smoky, hoppy, ashy, chocolate.
