Bottle in Oldmeldrum. It pours clear deep amber - brown with a medium white head. The aroma is rich, malt - driven, earthy, wood, cereal, brown bread, toffee and a hint of stewed orange. The taste is rich, bitter, earthy, wood, tannins, bread, porridge, toasty grain, cereal, some warming alcohol, apricot, oily orange and leather with a drying and woody finish. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. Rich and interesting malt-driven beer. Decent stuff.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - cloudy golden. Nice head. Nose - barley and oranges. Taste - more orange barley water. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - surprisingly sessionable for 7.1%

Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, oat, light hoppy, pine, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, caramel, hoppy, oat. Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours clear amber with a thin white head. Aromas of banana and caramel, faint spice. Taste is more of the same. Quite rich, but not cloying. Decent.

Bottle. Alesela. A gift from TVT. Cheers Tim! Hazy, deep copper colour. Firm, lasting, cream head. Nose has some rye like spice. Tangerine. Orange peel. Hob Nob biscuit. Touch of soap. Taste is floral, spicy, floral bitter. Some soapy sweetness. Decent mouthfeel. Smooth and full, but the ABV isn’t present, particularly. Spicy, floral bitter finish. A little bland, overall.
