Panda to Cloin. Near clear paleish gold beer, tiny white head. Light palate, semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, slightly thin but that's fine here. Lots of fruity ginger with a fair ol' ginger burn. Light finish. Vaguely alcopop but better than that. Good fun if quite 1D.

Bottle at home, thanks to SHIG, 14/07/24. Moderately hazed light golden yellow with a thin off white cap. Nose is root ginger, straw, herb, grains, sugars. Taste comprises watered down ginger, biscuit crumbs, grains, straw, sugars. Light bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not unpleasant but passable fayre on a hote day.

Bottle from Cider Barn, Godshill. Aroma has, of course, honey. A boozy edge. Cough drop-esque. Clear amber. No head. Sweet. Very sugary. Or fructosey and glucosey. Boozy burn. Veg hints if you tickle its tummy. Medium bodied. Slick, with a sticky residue. Flat-average carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Enjoying sipping this.

Bottle from Cider Barn, Godshill. Aroma makes me think of apple Vinegar, albeit without the vinousness. Clear gold. No head. Medium sour. Tart. Bitter edge. Peel and tannins. But all rather watery. Light. Thin. Watery. Flat carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Weak and Watery considering it's 8.4%. Probably better for cooking with.

Sample from SHIG, courtesy of Grumbo, cheers guys! Amber gold colour, afew short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of honey, herby, floral, fruity, spice. Taste is mellow, honey, flowery, sugary, some spice & woody notes, alittle boozy. Syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, short spiced finish. Nicely sippable.

Panda at home, thanks to Shig, 19/12/20. Clear golden amber with a decent white cap of bubbles as meads go that soon settle to the edge. Nose is honey dollop, fruit esters, sugars, lemon rind, light spice. Taste comprises lockets, sugars, light pinch of spice, floral, honey syrup, fruit cake. Full full bodied, slightly oily/medicinal mouthfeel, semi drying close with a warming kiss of alcohol. Decent Mead ... I enjoyed this one.
