From tap @ SRAF. Golden with no bubbles. Apples and apple skins on the nose. Dry, tart apples on the palate give the impression of fizz.The finish is long and dry. Good stuff.

From bag in box at SRAF. The nose is actually dominated by the elderflower to the extent that if you closed your eyes you’d be unlikely to guess there was red fruit in there. The taste does deliver both raspberry and strawberry and there’s a kick of ginger if you look for it. Elderflower still dominates, mind. Good!

Bottle from the farmshop at Hattoncrook. It pours clear blush - amber with a medium white head. The aroma is soft, fresh, fragrant, tangy fresh strawberry, floral notes and apple. The taste is crisp, dry, sweet, strawberry, jammy, apple, white grape, hint of acidity, earth with a bitter - sweet finish. Medium body and moderate - high, effervescent carbonation. Tastes like its actually made from real ingredients, which is rare in the fruit cider category. Not usually my sort of thing, but a good example of how it should be done.

750ml bottle from Cairn O Mohr online shop. Sparkling pale golden colour with a white foam head and aroma of fruity floral apple & fresh berries. Taste is sweet apple, some tartness, soft juicy fruits, berries, hints of melon, lime, cordial, grassy meadow. Light to medium, bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry tart finish. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle from Mitchell’s, Inverurie. It pours clear pale gold / yellow with a small, fizzy white head. The aroma is sweet, mellow apple, some creaminess, light musty farmyard, earth, apple tango, floral vibe, and apple pie. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter - sweet, apple skin, apple pie, white grape, rather floral, soft sugars, sherbet and a touch of juicy tartness with a dry finish. Medium body and effervescent carbonation. Not a huge amount of depth, but it is approachable and drinkable.

750ml bottle. Sparkling golden, short-lived fizzy white foam head and aroma of apple, woody, barnyard. Flavour is tart apple, apple skins, barnyard, rubbery, bittersweet, honey with some woody and drying tannin. Light bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry tannic finish. Quite drinkable.
