Murky gold with a small, bubbly white head, and a citrus fruit and slightly floral aroma, with hints of resinous pine going on. The citrusy bitterness is to the fore in the flavour, but not overpowering, and there's a creamy, earthiness to the mouthfeel, the finish being crisp and slightly bitter

330ml bottle direct from the brewery. Eye - very dark ruby, smooth small tanned head, nice retention. Nose - sweet malts, toasty, chocolate, liquorice, hint of toffee. Taste - sweet toffee like malts, liquorice, raisins, modest bitter finish. The flavours seem to coalesce to make a great finish although there is a slight lull mid-taste. Palate - full, smooth and a soft carbonation, lovely. Overall - a lovely full smooth sweet porter with a complex finish. If dessert beers were a thing this would be one of them and I mean that in a good way.
