Description
Good clean traditional farmhouse cider served from oak barrels.
It all started way back in 1977 when I made a chance remark to my Grandmother. I had been showing a keen interest in my Grandfather’s cider-making equipment which lay dormant at Stonehouse Farm in Kenn, North Somerset and mentioned that one day I would love to have a go at making some cider. My Grandmother’s response was to say “Well, all the cider making equipment is out in the shed. If you’d like to restore the old mill and press you’re welcome to have a go!” That really was the start of it.

Panda from Notts BCF, thanks to Danlo ... cheers Ed, 01/11/22. Clear mid golden with little in the way of a covering. Nose is tangy apples, orchard must, straw, hedgerow, light funk. Taste comprises earthy apples, apple skins, tannins, light acidic tickle, barnyard esters. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent enough cider.

Sample thanks to danlo! Hazed yellow appearance. Aroma of wild funk, countryside flora, apple orchard. Taste presents a bracing acidity, tangy on the back of the palate, good wild fruit presence, farmhouse scrumpy in feel, mellow tannins. Pleasant natural cider.
