Gravity at the Grape and Grain Spring Beer Festival 2011. It pours a very dark brown to black colour with a thin beige head and soft carbonation. The nose is caramel, toffee, rich-roast coffee and liquorice. The taste is caramel, charcoal, ash, coffee, smokey, aniseed and nut with a moderate lasting dry finish. Above average porter.

Pigs Ear. Clear dark brown beer. No real head. Semi dry palate, zero carbonation. Sweetish toffee malt with some tangy orange. Reasonably balanced. Npt bad - livens the palate.

Cask at the Pig’s Ear BF 2010. Dark amber pour with no head. Strong pumpkin and spice in the nose. Lightly sweet, certainly malty, faintly spicy flavor. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Autumn spices and more pumpkin in the finish, with further, understated maltiness. Decent.
