Christophe Cloet is a discreet, reserved brewer, lover of artisanal beer. This former engineer in the public works decided one day to launch his own business, in beer! A snorkeling, he knows his ranges in terms of brewing. After 5 years of amateur brewing, he chose Ostricourt to install his micro-brewery. Flamine comes from the contraction of Flemish and Mine, a way of paying tribute to the northern region. The brewery moved to Arleux in 2017.

Room 316 Tulip Hotel tasting with Ian and Colin. Very hazy amber beer, good white head. Palate is light and a little dry. Fine carbonation. Dry creamy malt. Seltzer minerals and a touch of brett. Lactose and a nice floral touch. Light dry finish. Not bad.

Good off-white head, frothy, over hazy yellow beer. Very flowery-herbal nose, hoppy. Eugenol with herbs and pale malts; Very strange beer - this is REAL clove flavour, not at all the Bavarian 4VG flavour. Light to medium bodied, giving the impression of being heavier than suggested by the ABV, still well-attenuated. Special. Fully intended? Txs, Stefaan!

Clear ruby red beer, big beige head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet caramel, ripe to overripe fruits, plums, hint of mocha. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: little sweet, caramel, malty, bit of mocha, chocolate. Aftertaste: some overripe fruits, bit of citrus, some mocha and a nice bitter hoppy finish.
