Dark amber with a thin, loose head. The aroma is light (too cold) with molasses accents. Slightly woody, chewy, earthy body with light caramel and a splash of alcohol in the finish.

The Seattle RB does a more PNW take on Fire Chief, strong and hoppy. Gorgeous golden-amber with thick, rocky head. Rich hoppy nose (wood, grapefruit) with complex caramelly, earthy accents. Even bitterness - great balance - has enough bite to satisfy but the sweet earth and milk chocolate malt notes wipe the slate clean. Not "beer geek" burly but perilously drinkable.

I suspect the previous rater didnβt get quite the same character because itβs not quite the same beer. The RB Seattle Belgian changes up from batch to batch. The one Iβm rating is 7.9%, presumably the same as the one shendrix tasted.
Golden accent to the amber body. Sweet taste with a candied fruit nuance and a light spiciness to carve through the caramel malt. There are some unfortunate plasticy notes late. Too sweet, on the whole, for pint-based drinking.
