Sweet-ish, wheaty, malty and minimally citrusy hoppy aroma, hints of banana, banana bread, a lemon dash. Taste is dry, minimally sweet, wheaty malty, minimally soapy, grassy hoppy, hints of banana, banana bread. Watery texture, creamy palate, fine, soft carbonation. Very clean, cautious, quite refreshing - OK.

Bottle from rhoihessegold in RB Euro 2020/01 Euro Swap - Cheers! Thin beige head left a spotty cover on a copper coloured still body. Malt, tea & confectionery aroma. Full bodied, low carbonation, sticky on the palate & cloying on the back. Malt, demerara, pepper, spices, red berries & clove tastes. Underwhelming

Schmucker Doppel Bock dunkel, Flasche von Maruhn. - Sehr dunkles Rubinrot, klar. - Dezente Nase mit feinem dunklen und Karamelmalz und schwacher Hopfengrundierung. - Antrunk schwer dunkelmalzig mit kräftiger, etwas brenzliger Röstigkeit, Maggi oder Angebranntes. Krautige Hintergrundherbe, feuchtes Laub. Mild rezent, vollmundig; zum Ende hin immer deutlicher alkoholschwer. Im Abgang derbe krautig-holzige Herbe mit leicht fauligen Zügen (Hopfenextrakt ist schon ein fieses Zeug ...). - Schwerer aber derber Bock mit deutlichen Aromadefiziten, kein rechter Genuß. *2l-Bottle shared with Jan, from Edeka in Bensheim. Malty caramelly beginning. Lots of grain, very sessionable with a grainy and quite neutral-bitter back. Caramel and soft malts with grain in the aftertaste. Not bad but for 16€/2l way too expensive.

Bought in Würselen. 33 cl bottle. Golden color. Soft flowery lychee aroma. Flowery, dusty, vinous flavor with some hops and citrus in the far background. Inoffensive, but not really great.

Golden color, slightly soapy aroma with only hints of hops and mango. Firm bitter, but also malty flavor. Dryish for a märzen. Medium bodied at least. A firm, even a touch alcoholic beer.
