Very hazy light yellow appearance. Fresh pale malt aroma with light banana notes. Sweet, creamy character, fresh-tasting with the esters and phenols kept rather subdued, leaving the focus to the pale malts.

(draught from lagertank) Very clear, deep chestnut. Slight head, lacey. Nose of smoked ham and parsley. Dark malts, also, of course. (Glass used was bad - off-smell disregarded.) Several 'layers' of smokiness in the taste, nowhere exaggerated. Impression of saltiness. More like Spezial than like Schlenkerla. Retronasal taste like chestnut flour. Medium-bodied. Long smoky, slightly sweet aftertaste. GREAT Rauchbier!

Chestnut brown; creamy - yellowish head. Nose as from fresh German brown bread, quite yeasty. Taste is predominantly sweet with good bitter, shrublike flavour. Again bread flavour and molasses. Well-bodied, warming. This is a good, tru-to-nature Bock. Not really exciting but more than halfway decent.

Yellow, greenish shine. Nearly no head. Nose with obligatory banana - cloves, but OK. Quite sweet, a bit too for my liking, bubblegum. Tinge of mint in the flavour. Medium-bodied. Typical, and it would fit in Germany, very true to the originals.

(draught from lagertank) Very pale yellow, huge white head. Slightly smoked nose, slightly citrussy. Slight corn taste. There is just a tad of hops retronasal. Light bodied, but the corn (?) seems to fill it up a bit. Good light beer, but tasted at very low temp.

(draught from lagertank)Gold colour. Thick white-yellow head, good lace. Nice hoppy smell + cookies in the best balance. Taste are cookies + hops (Saaz!) but the hops are gone after a few sips, except shortly retronasal. Slightly burnt cookie taste, rather medium bodied. Not really Czech style, but more than worth a try.
