Sampled from bottle at pre-borefts tasting. Slightly hazy amber with white head. Sweet malts, grains, syrup dipped. Light sour and moderate sweet. Medium body and soft carbonation. I don’t like this. --- Beer merged from original tick of Fitzroy's Reserve on 25 Dec 2017 at 20:27 - Score: 6. Original review text: 2.9

Bottle @ Pre-Borefts tasting. Murky reddish color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, sourness, tart, brett, a bit metallic. Nah, not my kind of beer.

Bottle split at Chris and Ruth’s legendary pre-GBBF shindig 2017, day one, 05/08/17 cheers all for the beers ! Clear golden amber, carbonation evident, off white head. Nose is biscuit, hint of plastic, straw, melon. Taste comprises toasted grains, straw, light citric peel, faint bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close sprinkled with a light hop medley. Passable for the style.

Bottle at C&R Pre-GBBF Tasting 2017. It pours clear rich amber – copper with a thick white head. The aroma is quite fresh, rich, malt – driven, bready, bitter – sweet, honey, hint of orange marmalade and cereal. The taste is crisp, dry, firm bitterness, zingy lemon, lime, cereal, grass, toasted grain, wood, leather and spice with a dry, woody finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Rather pleasant and fresh stuff overall. Good for style.
