Fra kran på Ølhallen. Ekstremt mørk amber. Pent luftig skum. Litt krempreg. Tett lacing. Kjempegod fruktaroma. Fersken. Smaken er aprikos - men blir veldig raskt veldig bitter. Godt øl men ble i bitreste laget.

On tap @ Naboen. I'm so ready for a beer right about now! Looks really nice this with a deep dark almost black-red body, as good as clear under a big really lingering and super lacing beige head. Looks like there has been a foam canon half way down the glass. The aroma hits the nose the second the barkeep starts his pouring procedure with a really hop-fruity and lovely aroma. Candy with sweet red tropical fruits, a little red roasted caramel touch, I get tones of both licorice and faint smoke. Smells quite nice! Immediately after the first sip I'm sitting left with a ton of dry licorice and softly roasted touches. Really light as a cloud having it in the mouth and it's just above average on the big bubbled carbonation. Tastes much more roasted than it smelled. It has the aroma if a strong IPA and some of the roastiness of a mild porter in the taste. It's surprisingly balanced as well. Green bitter pine needless, lots of dried leafs, hay and it has not been saving anything on the amount hops. A bit soapy bitter perhaps in the finish but it's a lovely tasting beverage this. I'll definitely be having a few of these over the next couple of months. 27.02.2014

330 ml bottle, from the brewery. ABV is 6.0%. Reddish brown colour, low off-white head. The aroma has distinct notes of piney and resinous hops, also notes of spruce tips and grapefruit. Moderate carbonation, smooth mouthfeel. The flavour is neither too sweet nor too dry, again with piney and grapefruity notes of said hops, but never sharp nor too bitter. Some caramel in the background, but not really sweet. Very drinkable and refreshing.

330ml bottle at Café Sara. Shared with Rebecca and Oda. Solid foamy, beige coloured head resting on top of a deep rosewood coloured body. Lacing rings down the glass. Coffee beans and pine on the nose. Fine blended flavours of pine needles, caramel, anise and coffee. Prolonged malt-bitter finish. Almost full bodied. Lovely (Oslo 28.03.2014).

On tap @ Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours very dark brown, with a creamy mocha head. Aroma is burned malts, with toffee and nuts, as well as a nice hoppy back bone. Full creamy body with soft carbonation. Flavour is quite bitter with burned malts as well as hops, where the dark leathery malts dominates initially and a fruity orange peel hoppiness follows to finish it off.

On tap at Kick. A creamy light beige head forms over a dark brown to black body. Some roasted malts in the aroma, citrus, oranges, peaches and a hint of unripe bananas. Banana in a nice way though. Creamy on the palate, with a really pleasant bitterness. Nice carbonation, full body. Citrus peel and pine cones. Lasting finish with a good bitterness. Not much impact from the roasted malts, just like I want it. A black IPA like it should be. 140329
