Draft @ Brewdog Brussels.

Draught Huge, bit irregular lightly yellowish head over yellow-golden beer, leaving textbook lace. Dry spices - coriander, chamomille - other grains/kernels. Again sweet & spicy. Finish is drier, but it sports a lot of restsugars. Again other grains, even such as buckwheat. Ever so slight acidity from the CO². Quite slick, medium carbonation, slightly oily feel. Seen the origins, I expected something out-of-the-box, but no, just a good, dry-ish Belgian strong blond.

Almost black beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma has salt liquorice, liqurice, sweet dried fruits. Taste is very sweet, dates, raisin, liquorice. Full bodied, but not stickyness. Too sweet, but anyway, very nice.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a dark murky reddish-brown, small off white top. Aroma has a sour red ale note with chocolate, something chemical, earth; interesting but odd. Taste of figs, berries, dark malt with chocolate edge, brown sugar, earthy hops with decent bitter kick; nice! I was worried from the aroma that this was going to be unbalanced but it works with a nice level of complexity. Medium bodied, rich but not overdone.
