Can 1 pint. Cloudy, opaque golden with a small, white head. Massive - as in MASSIVE - cinnamon aroma with a decadent side twist from the tangerine/vanilla. Lightly sour, tangerine juicy but again: the cinnamon is really strong in this one. I can in full honesty say, that I've never ever had anything like it, but in some strange way, it kinda works.....I think. No real bitterness and hence hard to call an IPA. What a strange creation indeed. 050619

Can shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Pours a hazy gold with a finger of white foam that lingers. Juicy mango forward nose with some herbal and bright citrus zest and pith notes. Juicy palate with more citrus flesh, mango and pineapple with some dank and peppery rye as it warms. Smooth tropical fruit and pepper on the finish.

Taster at Binny's, North Riverside. Stands out as an IPA with a lot of extra business going on. The nose has some fruity hops to it. Pours a deep golden color, with a little foam. Taste is not the standard palate-blasting American IPA of the day, but a good mix of malt spiciness, warm ferment fruitiness and the tropical notes of American hops in interesting configurations.

Sample at Fox & Turtle Restaurant. Slightly hazed pale golden color with a medium thin white head that evaporates quickly to a film. Spotty lace. Aroma of floral hops, yeast and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of earthy yeast, floral hops and malt. The finish is fruity and floral with a yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample from can at Standard Market. Smell is what this most has going for it. A hoppy nose of citrus and then a whiff of pine. But there's still a spicy aroma of a warm farmhouse fermentation. The expected thin foam on top, golden color with a bit of haze. Hopping is much less noticed in the taste. Just a spicy yeast note, but it's also dry, and offers a rather light mouthfeel for what can be a heavy style.

Sample from can at Standard Market. Strawberry in the nose is actually pretty subtle, with basil providing the balance. Fizzy and pale in the glass. Not as cloudy, I think, as a "plain" hefe. Basil comes through nicely in the taste. I think I've likely only had basil in a beer with the "Mama Mia Pizza Beer" ten years ago, but there was too much going on there to remember the basil. But here the spice is gentle. Gives the strawberry a dry edge that makes this pretty complex, and does not make me think of the usual hefeweizen.

Sample from can at Standard Market. Sparkling wine leads the aroma here. It is indeed pink and bubbly like a champagne. The taste pushes the "Champale" impression, but it's kind of agreeable. Bubbly, with notes of strawberry and white grape. This beer with grapes thing might be the next trend for the winter season.

Bottle at home watching a f’ed up movie on the Netflix. Pretty pour big frothy head pleasant hue of light orange. Nose is floral and fruity. Tastes of flowers not as strong as you think, pineapple, vegetal, honey. The flowers add a bitterness. Interesting

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy earthy peach with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is quite sour with tropical fruits and apricot with some light grains and hay underlying. Flavor has sour apricot with a hint of astringency with light tropical fruits and grains underlying.
