White head that looks nice at first, but goes away really fast, then leaves a pretty lacing. Reddish-brown color which is brown, but not as brown as other brown ales. Fruity sweet, caramel smell. Light-bodied, with a little bit of hops in it. Not too malty. Not too flavorful, but really smooth. Caramel finish ontop of that without too much aftertaste.

Bottle from Safeway, Port Angeles, WA; nose of sweet cloves, grain, and caramel; clear darl gold with a small offwhite head; flavor is caramelly, sweet, with vanilla and spices with some sweetness for a finish.

Botte. Brown sugar and sour barley malt aroma. Brown amber with minimal head. Sour barley malt flavor with a hint of brown sugar and a moderate hops finish for the style. Used to be one of the best choices in the late 80s/early 90s when it was one of the few micros around. Still decent but not as distinctive as it used to be.

Pour is a brown with a white head. Aroma is where this one has problems. I can get almost nothing. Some malts but not much else. Flavor on the other hand is decent. Light caramel malts with some roasted nuts and finishes with a nice hoppy backbone. Nothing earth shattering but a decent beer available almost eveywhere.

These golden blonde ale’s have yet to excite me, they taste and look way too much like a typical pale yellow american lager. Pop the lid on this 12 oz brown bottle and the aroma is a little better than most. It’s sorta fruity, honey, sweet and strong as if it’s gonna be a high alky brew. Color is pale yellow ubiquitous american lager. Interesting sourish flavor that is unique. I think I do taste the citrus that is touted in the description, gives it a flavor like a mild fruit beer. Some odd industrial bitterness tends to gather on the middle of the tongue. Probably one of the better tasting blondies I’ve had. Friendly and interesting to an extent. Only slightly better than Golden Anniversary, and Balantine xxx. Probably on par with H&H Whitetail Ale.

This beer tastes like nothing except for a little bit of strawberries and a little bit of beer. Little is the key here, because this beer is most certainly a little beer, which can probably be passed up by most drinkers of the beers.

Bottle. Pours a nice reddish brown. Taste is a malt, with a hint of hop. Nothing out of the ordinary, but certainly one of the first "better" US beers I had back in the day.

Pete’s wicked strawberry wheat. 12 0z brown bottle. This is going to hafta be some beer if its going to beat Lancaster strawberry wheat. Smells like any other beer, yeasty and beery. Looks like a slightly darker ubiquitous yellow american lager. Slight head that fades rapidly to a rim of thin white. I do not taste much, if any strawberry in there. This is more like a regular beer. If there is any fruit flavor, it is barely noticeable. Not offensive and pretty enjoyable. This is not as good as lancasters but it is much better than many fruit beers I’ve had such as abita purple and Michigan Brewing Celis Raspberry. Finish is not very bitter if at all. The linger is more like a well behaved lager. Quite acceptable as an interesting brew but it is not real unique.

Pete’s wicked, bout time I tried some of this. 12 0z brown bottle. Pop the lid to smell some beery yeastyness. Perhaps hints of roasty strong ale. Very decent light rootbeer or dark cream soda appearance. There is a nice thin froth and a foam ring around the inside of the glass but no head. Constant bubbles rising but not streaming from within the brew. The first taste is mild malt bitterness, ale expected. This fades quickly to a note of surprising sourness, barely. Pretty nice average carbonation as the brew rolls down the back of yer throat. Throughout the malt keeps its mild bitterness. This has some personality, definitely more than your typical pale yellow american beer. Label says this beer is tantalizing and out of the ordinary, I have to agree with that. Finish seems like it wants to be a strong ale but it ends up being between the smoothness of a pale yellow lager and the bite of a pale ale. I guess what I’m trying to say is that it is not too offensive. I think this is just a tad more enjoyable in flavor than JJ wainwrights evil eye. Better than dogfishead indian and saranac brown but not quite as good as troegs nut and wild goose nut.
