Mexican tasting session with myself and no one else. Three bottles to be consumed and rated while it's quiet; 6th January 2023, all three bottles were obtained while in Ensenada in December 2022. 355ml bottle (7.2%), poured into an old Corendonk stemmed tulip glass. Hazed amber body, Snow White head. Piney and citrus hop nose and taste, seems old and tired to be honest (the IBU of 120+ just about keeping it alive). Claims it's an Imperial IPA on the label which it might have been a couple of years ago. It is hoppy and bitter, so maybe I am being unkind and the alcohol (7.2% remember) has helped with the bit of 'aging' I think has taken place. OK it grew on me a little, so the scores are kinder than the write up!

355ml bottle on 21st December 2022. Drank on the balcony of our room on the Crown Princess cruise ship while alongside in Ensenada. Amber pour, off-white head; skunked (had two beers of six I bought and both were in poor condition, 4 to go!). Scored kindly because I don't want to bash the small guy.

12oz can pours out crisp clean golden topped with a white head. Nose is nice sweet grain some rice and a touch of hops. Taste is more of the nice sweet grain touch of wheat rice and a little metallic.

Taster at Drunkendog, Ciudad de México. Almost clear, pale gold colored. AROMA- heavily cinnamon, sweet, strudel. FLAVOR- neutral, lightly bitter, cinnamon sharp, really huge amount of cinnamon, herbal. Medium bodied. Cinnamon massacre!

Lots of lime and sugar cane. Orange peel and a little nutmeg. Amber pour with decent head and good lacing. Tangy boozy finish. This is pretty complex, definitely better than most winter beers. Tap at Paracaidista.

Tangerine and grapefruit. Sour plum. Pretty rich fruit profile, and pretty well done. Orange pour with decent head. Fizzy carbonation. Tart finish. Well done for style, and probably one of the better beers I've had from Agua Mala. Impressed. Bottle.

Bitter ass grapefruit and wood. Mezcal adds a nice background flavour and that's how it should probably be. Impressed by this one, probably one of the better agua mala beers I've had. Bitter ass finish. Amber pour with decent head and lacing. Bottle from drunkendog.
