Medium amber, fairly bright. Thin head. The nose is decent, a bit chewy. On the palate, it's got some chewy malt, lots of bitterness. Liking the mola mola label, but the beer is definitely chewy, and the hops are somewhat dull.

330mL bottle, pours a clear deep dark amber mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma has some toasted chestnuts, dark dried fruits, and bready malt. Flavour has lightly sweetened bready malt, aspartame, toffee, and a touch of toasted chestnuts. More like an artificially sweetened strong amber ale. Not great, but not terrible.

Poured from 355mL bottle (lot 008). Clear copper red with small off white head. Chewy caramel malt, artificial sugars, light resinous hops, okay. Wish the sugars were less artificial otherwise it would be decent.

355mL bottle, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma has some dark sugars, some cocoa, and toasted malt. Flavour has moderately sweet sugars, a touch of cocoa, maybe some coconut, and a touch of soy sauce. Pretty thin-bodied for the ABV—just not enough deep/complex malts here. It’s not bad but needs amping up.

Flavour has some earthy hops, toasted bread malt, and some spiced notes. Carbonation is way too high—as evident from the head. I doubt it was great fresh; now it’s just rather muted. Meh.
