Belgoo Saisonneke Extra, Fläschchen aus Tausch mit Jef - danke schön! - Satt goldgelb, ganz schwache Trübung; pilsenerähnlicher Schaum. - In der Nase satte, flächig aromatische zitrusfruchtige Hopfung, Grapefruit, Orangenmarmelade, Harz, leise belgische Hefe und lockeres helles Malz. - Antrunk luftig aber doch solide hellmalzig mit zarter Süße und immer noch aromatischer aber nur noch wenig bitterer zitrusfruchtiger Hopfung. Leise blumig-parfümierte Noten. Gut rezent, auf Dauer etwas dünn. Im Abgang aromatische Hopfenherbe. - Unkompliziertes, schmackhaftes Ale, das es mit den blumig-parfümierten Noten belgischer Ales nicht übertreibt und dafür auf aromatisch zitrusfruchtige Kalthopfung setzt. Light hazy blond colour, white foam. Nose of citrus, a bit perfumy, herbal. Sweet, some tartness, harsh bitter finish. Rather unbalanced.

Clear yellow blond beer, creamy dense white head, a little stable, a bit adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: a bit malty, very yeasty, quite some banana, grains, hay, cow fodder, hint of onion. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: a bit sweet up front, very malty, grains, a little fruity, yeasty, ripe banana, gentle bitterness, cow fodder. Aftertaste: fruity touch, sweet, quite some bubble gum, a little bitter, yeasty, some banana peel, a bit sugary, slightly sourish, meh, very unimpressive.

75cl bottle pour @ Poperinge Bier Festival 2024. Pours gold with a very fine mist, a white ring of foam circling the glass. Aroma has an indistinct sweetness that could be attributed to the barolo barrel influence. First sip brings a fresh zippy acidity, mild fruity element that could be the lychee, additional floral shades, suggestions of white grape and guava.. not massively impactful on the wild front, quite a settled blend, but wild enough. Ok.

Bottle shared. Hazy purple with dark pink head. White cheese, yoghurt, wheat, oak, red wine, cassis, blueberries, dark cherries. Almost medium sweet, less sour. Over medium bodied. A bit lactic but a lovely fruit lambic.
