The bottle looks very simple, the beer in the glass not too zippy, short-living head. Starts malty and dry, a bit rusty. Some fruity notes of plum. Finish a bit moldy, unbalanced, too dry. Not my favourite!

Bottle. Sweet creamy barley malt aroma (initially tin as well but this quickly faded) . Initially a bitter grass hops flavor followed by a light creamy malt flavor. More hop forward than the usual German Pils.

(swing top bottle, 33cl) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a mid-sized tanned foamy head. Sweet toast-malty aroma with notes of caramel and an ascorbic touch. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Toast-malty taste with caramel as well as nutty and light herbal notes; sweet and slightly bitter toasty finish with a delicate touch of herbal hops. Not bad for a Dithmarscher. 16.XI.09

Bügelverschlußflasche:Clear, amber coloured, medium-sized - slowly collapsing - white head with a little lace; moderate roast-malty dryish nose with a light hoppiness underneath; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, light (!) to medium bodied; shy traces of roasted malt in the moderate herbal-hoppy finish. A gem... by north-german standards!
