(Bottle 33 cl) Marne is a small town and the Dithmarscher brewery must be a tiny one. But the good people brew good quality beer, nicely presented in the small, cute and plump swing-top bottles. Brown with a reddish hue. Off-white head. Some sweetish notes from the malts, almost cinnamon-like flavours. Dry, very dry, appearance with a rather pronounced ashy bitterness. 220100

(Bottle 33 cl) An "Urtyp" is usually a rather hoppy pils, and that is certainly the case here. Hops in the nose with hops dominating all through to the palate. Some underlying sweetness makes this bearable. 220899

(Bottle 33 cl) Pale, almost no head. Slightly malty with a bitter finish. Very unspectacular beer - but a lovely bottle.... 210899

A hazy orange beer with a small white head. The aroma is primarily of straw, while the flavor is sweet and of straw.

A red-brown beer with a small light brown disappearing head. The aroma is sweet and sour - malty and hoppy. The flavor is mainly of straw, but with hints of caramel, while the mouthfeel is sticky.

Golden colour. Decent head. Aroma of malt and honey. More honey in the flavour. Shame about the unbalanced bitter finish.

Pale yellow with green-ish notes. Nice head. Malty nose with faint hoppiness. Somewhat thin, somewhat malty, ok bitterness. A decent but not outstanding pils.
