Quit dark for the reat of Maibock 😂. Cleae, brownish color and a off-white head. Malty and sweet like a Märzen. Finish with a decent hoppy flavor

(31.10.2019.)

9th Aug 2018; on-tap at the Brauhaus. Dirty orange/amber body, off-white crown that stayed the distance. Yeasty aroma and taste with the usual (but not always) banana, vanilla and clove like esters and flavours combining to give the traditional taste and smell from a beer of this style. Rarely had a Hefeweizen fresh and on-tap, so this was a bit of a novelty to me, liked it.

9th Aug 2018; two glasses from the tap in the Brauhaus. Dirty (hazy) golden amber body, full white crown that tried to stay for a while. Malty and grainy front to the aroma and taste, some yeast elements and a mild hop bitterness late in the mouth. Rustic feel to the whole thing.

9th Aug 2018; on-tap at the brewery. Dark, dark brown, light brown crown. Malty nose with a rustic twist, taste similar; malty with a slight farmyard addition. Some semi-sweet caramel flavours arrive mid-sip, mild hop bitterness for balance towards the finish.

Never ever a brown ale.this is more like a root beer. Just 1.9 vol. Lots of sugar, just sweet and a little malty. Thin body, short finish.

Tap at a local restaurant. Beer in the glass deep black, huge head. Nice malty smokey aroma. Starts mild, malty, modest dry. A bit sweetish. Also with some smokey hints. Well balanced finish, soft malty, still mild. Quite drinkable. Not bad!
