Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark black, almost no head. Intense roasty-malty-smokey aroma. Starts strong-malty, sharp, alcoholic. Woody-berry notes. Bitter background. Finish could be more balanced. Not bad.

30cl bottle from Valkenburg (2025 version, BB 19th April 2028). Poured into a La Chouffe tulip glass at home on 21st February 2026 after watching Grimsby Town lose by 3 goals to one at Bristol Rovers (we were bloody awful) on television. Dark brown body, tanned roof of smooth, tight bubbles, which sadly departed very swiftly. Sweet malty taste with a slight harshness in the aftertaste of each mouthful. Brown sugar with a trace of saltiness within the flavour.
