16 oz. can thanks to jcwattsrugger. Pitch black with a fast dying tan head. Aroma is decent amount of coffee, mild chocolate, and cocoa notes.
Flavor is weak roast with some bitter coffee and mild chocolate. The bitterness is a bit too prominent. Sharp bitter coffee. Decent enough coffee stout but the bitterness was a tad off putting. Still rather drinkable.

Can split at RB Best Hotel Lobby Share, post festival, 31/01/16. Hazed golden orange with a moderately appointed off white head. Nose is sweet and more sweet, candied fruits, tropical cereal mix with coconut shavings, coconut shampoo. Taste comprises sweet malts, caramel, coconut, nutty, grains, sweet fruits. Medium + body, moderate carbonation, drying close with a boost. Sweet and messy ... how to take a pap style and make it worse !

Best before June 10th 2017.
A: Non see through muddy brown, a vigorous pour and there’s an inch of quickly receding tan head of foam.
S: Smells of caramel malt, chocolate, grain and booze.
T: Tasty job with the malt. Sweet and some grainy roasty notes, semi sweet chocolate, and the booze.
M: On the lower end of medium bodied with light carbonation.
O: Tasty but the alcohol could have been less noticeable, I reckon, to boost drinkability.

12 ounce can, best by May 20th.
A: Hazy straw gold, fair head of long lasting foam. Good lacing.
S: Cloves, coriander, light banana.
T: Same as the smell, thankfully. Still, I have had better brewed of the style from the US.
O: Decent Wit.

A: Clear light gold, with a vigorous pour, 2 finger head, gives way slowly. Good lacing.
S: Very grassy smell, some pine, bits of bread.
T: Grass, grapefruit, mild bread, pretty darned bitter overall.
M: Medium body and carbonation. The finish is really bitter and not all that attractive.
O: To say solid would be stretching it for me. Decent would be a better discriptor.

Can courtesy of Craig (cheers Craig!) consumed in a field at Fairports Annual Reunion Festival, Cropredy Friday 12th August 2016 Black with a tan head, big malty beer a little meaty, chewy, lots of a touch of liquorice a touch chocolate notes. Much like the Oedipus before this also has black treacle, it’s a big beer, but quite smooth. There is a hoppy presence, I like this a lot. A7 A4 T8 P5 Ov16 4.0
