24/5/2026. Can at the ITFC beer share. Courtesy of Eric, cheers! Region #887. Mexico region 11/32. Citrusy, grassy, grapefruit, lime, slightly veggie. Medium sweetness, light tartness. Not bad.

355mL bottle, pours jet black with a medium brown head. Aroma has plenty of roasted malt, bitter dark chocolate, and molasses. Flavour is bold, with deep dark chocolate (like a 90%+ cocoa bar), deep roasted malt, molasses, and wood. Finishes bitter, chocolatey and roasty. This is excellent.

355mL bottle. Pours black with a tan head. Dark chocolate and roasted malts on the nose. Flavour is rich and malty with excellent dark chocolate and roast. This comes together well. Fantastic.

12 oz can. Pours an opaque brown/black with a medium sized tan head that has good retention. The aroma is strong with sweet mocha, vanilla and caramel. The taste is more akin to burnt grains, toffee and bitter baking chocolate. The palate seemed a bit thin and the carbonation was lively. Finished long with lingering burnt grains. Overall: Decent everyday type of porter.

Bottled, from El Grifo Polanco, Mexico City. Black, rich white head. Aroma of licorice and coffee. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Lots of burn oat, coffee and licorice. Mid bitter finish. Rich, yet harmonious.

Old notes from Oct 2014 - A 330ml bottle from a friend brought back as gift from Baja. Pours clear reddish amber, with a small orange-tan head that has minimal lacing. The aroma has notes of caramel, malt, and some spices. Tastes is medium sweet with roasted malt, caramel, spices and grass, with a medium bitter finish.
