Many thanks to nimbleprop - my "Secret" Santa 2016. Absolutely great intense floral nose. Pine, fresh fruit, tropical fruits. The beer starts great tropic fruity. Mango, pineapple, moderate bitterness with pine and resin-hop-oils. Intense fruity fresh, fantastic tropical fruits on a moderate sweetish but round and not dominating body. The aftertaste is long, great fresh fruity with a nice intense bitter hoppiness. Fantastic flavour profile!

Cheers to 3 Stars (Presumably) for adding this already to the site - I’m the first rater, but didn’t need to add it! Super hazy golden, bronze and copper coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall head that fades very quickly. Aroma of sour grapes, brett, yeast, apples, funk and a bit of light hops. Medium-bodied; Rich sour flavour of yeast, brett, grapes, apples, funk and almost a pure gueuze sour flavour with some dry oak and grassy flavours near the finish coupled with a sweet fruit note as well. Aftertaste is complex, powerful, ridiculously funky and showing nice character throughout. Overall, a great sour beer with a nice kick, tons of complexities, a great balance and body and leaving the mouth puckered and showing some great sweetness as well. Definitely worth searching out for, especially if you like sours and if they are planning on bottling/canning this at all?!? I sampled this sixteen ounce pour on draught for US$6,00 on 13-January-2017 (Friday the Thirteenth) at the end of my driveway during a 3 Stars/DC Brau Tap Takeover at Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia.

Pint at the brewery pours a mostly clear gold with some bright white head. Nose is very fruity, guava, bubbelicious, mango, some carrot cake, some candy. Flavor is mango smoothie, guava, candy, some pineapple cake, honey, a little white grape. Finishes sweet, lightly bitter and lightly astringent.

On tap at the brewery, pours a mostly opaque deep dark brown with some lacing, tan head. Coffee is bright in the nose, fragrant and inviting, stout after that, toast and cracker, a little nuttier than the base. Flavor follows, thankfully the stout backbone is still there, malt, molasses, a little chocolate, then a mild and pleasant coffee bean, and finally just the slightest hints of wood/oak. Maybe a little green bell pepper, but overall successful. Finishes a touch on the watery side, but what can you do. Slight improvement on a solid base beer.

Pint at the brewery, pours a watery, nearly opaque, deep brown/black with some cloudy, grey head. Nose has malt, toast, mild cocoa, hints of licorice. Flavor is better, chewy grains, toast, hints of chocolate syrup, almost like a chocolate soda. Finishes a little watery, but dry and drinkable.

Draft. Cloudy golden body. White frothy head. Aroma of spice, light funk and clove, toasted grain, grapefruit, citrus. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Thin to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Taste of citrus, spice, light basement mustiness, grapefruit.

16 oz can from Milk and Hops. Pours an unclear orange color with a slightly pink hue. Cranberry juice and yeast aroma. Grainy, a bit of funk, light clove and other spices. Medium sweetness, minimal bitterness. Drinks light and clean. Decent, though maybe a bit muted.

Thanks altonbrownd for the can! Poured into a snifter showing moderately filtered brownish orange with sparse white foam. The nose shows a hoppy pine resin forwardness. The palate is highly carbonated and medium bodied. Dry with not a lot of flavor but finishing on a lightly sharp IPA bitterness. Not a lot of character or flavor just the standard IPA style bitterness with no malt backbone or hoppy mid-palate.
