Caldera Brewing Company is an internationally award winning brewery located in Ashland, Oregon. Never sacrifice quality. Micro canning since 2005. With a full service restaurant onsite, you will sure to find a beer you like with 45 Caldera beers on tap.

Caldera Brewing Company was incorporated March 12, 1996. The first brew was July 4, 1997 and the first keg sold was August 28, 1997. Caldera is distributed by Summit Beverage in Southern Oregon and Point Blank Distributing in Portland, Eugene, Bend and the Oregon Coast area.

For the first eight years, Caldera was draft only until June 2005 when the Pale Ale was put into cans. In 2007 the IPA was added to the can line up and in 2008 the Ashland Amber became the third flavor to can. In 2013, Caldera added Lawnmower Lager and Pilot Rock Porter to its can lineup. Caldera is the first micro brewery in the State of Oregon to brew and can its own beer.

Bottle shared at home. Clear golden with orange hue. Thin white head. Sweet malts, light caramel, fudge, soapy/parfumey rose petals, fermented fruit. Medium sweet and under medium bitter. Medium body, malty feel, quite sugary and alcoholic.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Clear dark golden with short lasting white head. Lots of funny flowers, I guess it’s the roses. Some caramel, orange, light herbs, soft wood. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle split at Hackobock Tasting, Islington, thanks to Kenny 24/11/16. Black with a moderate tan cap. Nose is chocolate, roasted malt, spice, charr, dark fruit rinds. Taste comprises toffee, chocolate, dark malts, light spice, subtle bourbon, coffee, earthy fruits, molasses. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light rising booze thread. Solid BA impy, good balance and easy to drink.

Grand tasting at Craft Islington with Hackobock. Opaque black - brown beer, good tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Fluffy and mildly tangy dark malts. Dark chocolate and smooth malts cream. Tangy smooth bourbon soaked fruits. A little vanilla. Airy semi dry finish. Smooth but very drinkable.

Level 42 Bottleshare and no Mark King in sight. Almost opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Palate is soft and airy. Soft chocolate malts blend seamlessly with mild spice and dark fruits. Mild oaky vanilla. Smooth finish. Smooth and drinkable.

Bottle (One pint, 6 Fl Ozs): Deep golden to light amber coloured, almost clear,very stable creamy and lacy off-white head, visible carbonation; flowery hops,sweet malt, bread and caramel in the almost solid aroma; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, but not really soft; lingering dry herbal to flowery hops and subdued sweet pale malt in the finish. Not the greatest american ale, but surely very good...

Can from New Beer Distributors, Manhattan, New York, USA. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a thin off white head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Tastes similar, roasty, malty, chocolate, caramel. Nice smooth porter.

Tap at Imazato. Shiny black. Nose of coconut, vanilla, chocolate. Very sweet flavor of vanilla, caramel, chocolate, coconut. Thin body. Don’t care for this much at all. Sweet and yucky.
