Taste is slightly dry grassy, weeds, grass, caramel malts, mild grassy chillies, minerals, bark, cardboard. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh mouthfeel, nice warming chili touch. Fair enough.

Soft gusher. Small slightly fizzy-bubbly mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry resiny, harsh grass, pine needles, caramel malts, hops, alcohol, old leafs, minerals, old citrus peel. Taste is slightly dry concentrated grassy, pine needles, caramel malts, hops, moss, bark, alcohol, minerals, harsh grass, weeds, soil, soap. Longlasting bitterness, harsh watery mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.

Caldera Mosaic IPA 6.5% Mosaic is one of the hottest new hop varietals at the moment. Deep Amber color with a thick dense beige head and a candyish tropical fruit and dank resinous aroma at first. On second whiff I got magi and papaya! The taste is tropical fruits and dank woodsy pine. Medium bodied with a raspy carbonation but decent depth of flavor. A good bang for your buck beer as I think this was less than 500¥ on Rakuten. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

650ml bottle at Brian’s office. Pale amber with a tan head. Aroma is candied tropical fruits, some alcohol notes. Same taste, much more alco notes. Meh.

Bottle - Sticky and oily notes. Clear gold with a decent white head. Oily citrus notes with a sticky oily notes. Too oily and sticky.

Medium amber, hazy. It’s heavy with piney hop, a ton of chewy malt. Sweet, there’s some of that piney hop but mostly it’s a mess. The caramel and alcohol doesn’t flow for me and then there’s a bit of piney hop. I don’t know - it doesn’t come together.

22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy dark amber orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out herbal hops, some pot, and bready caramel malt. Flavour is sweet and messy, with lots of candied sugar, caramel malt, some resinous hop oils, and alcohol. This is sweet, messy, and expressive of a weird hop character. This isn't a convincing brew - messy, abrasive and cloying. Not good.

From bottle to pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy orange with moderate and well retained white head. Hop aroma is lacking, with more assertion form sugary bread. Flavor also lacks hops, but bitterness shows the hop additions in a moderately strong manner.

Can at MC Zurich. Pours black with a low beige head. Pours dark chocolate, coffee, liquorice, green pepper. Body is heavy, sweet but mostly bitter, typical roast flavours, liquorice. Pepper palate. Good.
