Looks lovely, a little more standard in taste with a hoppy character. Quite crisp. Drank after a long wait at the bar at Hydes premier bar in Manchester city centre.

Cask at Wellington, Birmingham. Oddly this is my first beer from the brewery. Clear gold with small white head. Aroma of apricot jam. This flows through to the taste, a bit biscuity, smooth, light bitterness. Unremarkable but very pleasant.

Cask @ Abel Heywood, Manchester. Dark golden with a creamy head. Hoppy character with some mild floral notes.

Cask @ Abel Heywood, Manchester. Hazy dark-ruby colour with foreboding bittered dark malts, making somewhat floral and slightly dank. The depth of its dark malts rescues things to an extent.

Cask @ Abel Heywood, Manchester. Slightly deeper golden with a small head. Mildly nutty in both aroma and taste, although developing in aftertaste. Hoppy enough too. Some brown ale character.

Cask @ Abel Heywood, Manchester. Clear golden with a thick frothy head. Crisp golden style brew, steady but nothing particularly interesting with a soapy aftertaste. Has an underlying berry-sweetness in both aroma and taste.
