Deadication brew to Caron Keating, television presenter I remember from being a kid, died on this day. This one looks good, but is more hoppy in taste than a true mild, extremely easy though without being thin or watery.

From tap with Terje at a bar new River Lea Navigation in Hackney Wick on a Sunny and warm afternoon 11.04.25. Translucent pale golden. Dense and persistent bright white and lacing. Refreshing aroma and taste of pale malt, various citrus, papaya, mango and dried apricot. Well balanced, with a very good malt profile.

Cask at Vine, Nantwich. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a medium sized foamy cream head. There’s quite a sweet aroma of roasted malts mixed with honey. In the mouth it is sweet and creamy but also slightly thin and watery. Flavour has roasted malts and dark fruits plus traces of caramel. Cola and hints of liquorice coming through later. Sweetness lasts into the finish. This is quite decent.

From tap at Grey Horse, Manchester, 27.03.25. Served with sparkler. Ebony. Dense and persistent brown head. Moderate aroma and taste of roasted barley, dark chocolate and vanilla, with just the slightest hint of smokeLow bitterness. Perhaps slightly waterish. Extra points on overall for good drinkability.

I found I could just about afFord this beer... Pardon the pun. Deeper golden with minimum haze, slightly watery. Malty-hop balance to an extent, perhaps slightly more the former. Easy, nothing to do with the actual American made car.

Answers On A Postcard is a phrase you never hear anymore. Nothing to answer for here, a good looking hoppy session ale. Has a hint of citrus.

Looks lovely, a little more standard in taste with a hoppy character. Quite crisp. Drank after a long wait at the bar at Hydes premier bar in Manchester city centre.
