Keg at the OCH, 25/05/17. Clear golden with a well appointed white cap. Nose is bready, grains, straw, light lemon lick, hay. Taste comprises bready malts, straw, light citric strokes, lemon drizzle, cereal backnotes. Medium bodied, fine massaging carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow hop tang. Solid lager, kind of a Helles hybrid affair with light hopping.

Cask at the Old Coffee House - London. Pours clear brown with a creamy, light khaki head. The aroma holds light roast, toasted toffee, a little earthy coffee. Light sweet flavour with a little day-old coffee character, some lightly toasted malts, subtle earthy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation, decent condition. Alright balance in the finish, with some burnt toast, faint tangy dried berries, mellow cocoa. Not bad on the whole.

Cask at Ye Olde Coffee House - London. Pours clear, shiny gold with a creamy, white head. Ample gooey pine in the aroma, ripe citrus, bready malts. Medium sweet flavour with lots of oily hops, light bitter pine, a little cat pee, papaya. Medium bodied, oily, with fine carbonation. Resinous and lightly warming in the finish, with more gooey pine, mellow bitterness, ripe and chewy tropical fruits. There’s a certain raw hop intensity here, which would be nice if the condition could lift it more. Overall, not bad.
