Schanzenbräu Märzen, Flasche von Grabsch, Berlin-Lichterfelde. - Helleres Goldbraun, trüb. - Nase weich und aromatisch zitrusfruchtig, fast obergärig anmutend, dazu Hefe, getreidiges helles Malz, Anklängen an Waldhonig und feine krautige Hopfenherbe. - Antrunk satt getreidig hellmalzig mit runder Malzsüße und frischer, fein zitroniger Hopfenherbe von Mandarina Bavaria. Milder rezent, vollmundig, leicht mineralisch. Im Abgang sehr aromatische aber milde, in die getreidige Malzigkeit weich eingebettete zitrusfruchtige Hopfung mit fränkisch-hopfenwürzigem, leicht pfeffrigem Ausklang. - Sehr aromatisches Märzenbier mit weicher Malzfülle und delikater Hopfung. Wie alle Schanzenbräu-Biere ein besonderer Genuß. (9.7.2022.)

Bottle from Raynville Stores. It pours clear yellow with a decent, lasting white head. The aroma is sweet, grainy, grassy, straw, sweet biscuity malt, custard creams, nuttiness and some spice. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, grassy, some green bitterness, herbal, peppery spice, grain, straw, cereal, nuttiness, sweet malt base, bready, floury and some biscuit with a dryish finish. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Simplex but rather drinkable stuff.

0,5 l bottle from Ambasada. Zagreb. Shared with the Jolly Rogers. Unclear amber, small lasting off-white head. Lightly toasty, light caramel aroma, light red fruit, light grainy. Nice malty and toasty flavour a bit sweet. Drinkable, finishes dry.

On tap at Ludwig's, Nürnberg in the company of Jude and Baz Wednesday 15th June 2022, a blisteringly hot today now 29c. Pours hazy yellowy colour with a white head, a little bit of light vanilla, creamy, soft moutheel, really surprised with how much I like this, simple, a little grainy edge, more'ish'.

Bottled 500ml. -from Ambasada Zagreb. Clear pale amber coloured, medium sized pale beige head, caramel and light fruity nose. Sweet malty, caramel, bready, weak fruity and slightly nutty with dry bitterish sweet finish.

Farbe: Dunkles Kupfer. Sehe ich als dunkles Weizen. Malzig, fruchtiger Geruch. Geschmacklich ähnlich. Malzbetont, floral, leichte Zitrusnoten. Etwas krautig, etwas sperrig. Hat durchaus etwas besonderes, aber ich werde damit nicht wirklich warm.
