Bottleshare at Craft Islington. Hazy amber beer, decent pale tan head. Smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts, really quite light, a very light creamy sweetness. Very soft and well rounded fruity bourbon, lots of ripe orange well integrated with the soft whiskey. Light finish. Such a light barleywine, remarkable.

At a tasting, big bubbly head, cloudy deepish and a bit oxidized orange color, yeasty, woody, plaster aroma with a fruity whiff behind, flavor of caranel, old malt and honey drops, Not really good, quite old.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours very black with a creamy beige head. Chocolate in the aroma. Full bodied. Flavor is semi-milky chocolate in a dark way; a little good coffee; smooth dark malt. Not dry, but that's ok. Whiskey is fairly hidden. Or maybe not. Delicious; complex. Wow!

Can from Bine & Vine. Pours translucent brassy gold with a foamy white head. Aroma of grapes and pale stone fruit. Med body plus a little. Carbonation is impressive. Flavor of something like kiwi mixed with lime. Pretty dry. Then it gets sort of white berry/grape. Moderately hoppy. Moderately plus bitter. Dry/bitter/berry/fruity. It may be complex. Is for me. Really nice IMHO.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with a dark tan head. Aroma is oh so lightly ginger. Med body. Flavor is very much gingerbread - but there’s chocolate that works so well here that there should be a chocolate gingerbread cookie somewhere. More dry than not. Not a lot of bitter, but the ginger more than makes up for that. It is a really nice drink I could enjoy any time of year. Good!

Tap at the brewpub. Pours very brown with orange glints and a tan head. Med body or so. Flavor is malty, lightly, very lightly, smoky. Not a lot of hop. Not very dry, but not sweet/malty. Seems to have a wood/tree/bark note. Pleasant malty drink.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours a nice rich gold with a white head. Light bergamot/citrus aroma. Near med body. Flavor is mostly citrus/pale malt, but the bergamot aspect is clearly present. Fairly dry. Moderately bitter. Quite pleasant.
