Bottle from Kisjes Slijterijen, Meppel. Aroma is peppery yeast, bready pale malt, fruity and spicy notes, citrus, mild sugary, bit floral and perfumed. Flavour is about medium sweet and light to moderate bitter. Medium bodied, alcohol is well-hidden. Sweet and spicy peppery fruity Belgian strong ale, good stuff.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is brown caramel malts with Belgian yeast, spicy notes, some candy sugar and dried fruit. Flavour is medium sweet with low bitterness. Body is medium. Alcohol is hidden well.

Bottle at nicks. Pours deep amber, nose is caramel, toffee, raisin, malty, taste is sweet toffee, thin, caramel.

Fairly ordinary and simple belgian strong for the mass palate. Sweet, bit floral, some general fruityness and plenty of alcohol warming the throat. Simple, not complicated and mostly Belgiany beery. Could do without, but not bad per se.
