Description
BAPBAP is the craft brewery located in the Oberkampf district in the 11th arrondissement. From the crushing of the grains to the bottling, all our beers are made locally in an atypical place of 1800 m2 sheltered by a metallic structure from the beginning of the 20th century in the Eiffel style.

BAPBAP was born from the desire shared by Edouard Minart and Archibald Troprès to make a local and quality beer 100% "Made in Paris". It was after their meeting on the benches of the college, a lasting friendship, the revelation of the Hefeweizen in Frankfurt for one, the discovery of the Brooklyn Brewery for the other, that the common dream of giving Paris its beer germinated. .

It took more than two years of research and six months of work to find and transform a former textile accessories warehouse into a craft beer factory. At the end of 2014, our first beer came out of the vats. Since then, we have produced more than 45 different ones! In 2019, the brewery acquired a taproom, a hybrid place between shop and tasting bar, to welcome all curious and regulars wishing to eat in or take out. In 2021, we opened our second production site in Sucy-en-Brie, in Greater Paris.

Facing economic difficulties since the pandemic, the Parisian brewery has just been acquired by Appie & Cie (based in Pantin). The company, already active in the soft drink, cider, and beer sectors, is thus ensuring the continuity of BAPBAP's operations. The new owner committed itself to "taking over the brand, the products, the recipes, and the entire team." However the two co-founders are leaving the company.

It is the kind of beer that I love. The taste is really bitter, refreshing, behind that the malt or the wheat is hidden by the hop, next one, 28.11.16, at Prélaz, purchased at Paris

It is a regular porter, not bad, a bit watery, roasted malt, hop, coffee, easy to drink, 26.10.16, at Prélaz, buying it at Paris, in one monoprix.

330 ml, bottle.
Pours amber, slightly cloudy, with low-medium off-white head. Nose is hops and a bit of cloves. Flavor says everything about a decent West Coast IPA. Definitely recommend it!

If I compare with the vertigo, this one is hundred times better and it is clearly a true american pale ale, nice touch of hop, next one!!! 03.04.17, purchased at one monoprix, tasting it at Prélaz.

It is not an IPA, the taste is just disgusting with a kind of old limonade, mineral, ginger, really unpleasant at the palate, forget it, 03.04.17, buying it at one monoprix, Paris, judging it at the Mercure, Gare de Lyon.

I don't understand what it was happening. This bottle was just not drinkable, there was maybe a problem with the "brassin" salty, bad, 16.12.16, finding this beer in one Monoprix, Paris, drinking it at Lausanne, Prélaz.

On tap at Brasserie Bellanger, Paris, France. An orange/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Sweetish, hoppy, malty, caramel aroma and taste. Rather enjoyed this one, had 3 half litre glasses of it with my tasty meal in the Paris sunshine.
