28 April 2019. At Zythos Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke, 77ships & tderoeck! Hazy black, no head. Aroma of milk chocolate, green apple (acetaldehyde), vanilla, licorice, cream, mocha, burnt caramel, sweet tobacco. Taste is medium malty sweet, dark fruits topped with chocolate & burnt caramel, umami touch of Worcestershire sauce, develops a medium roasted bitter core with fondant, coffee & spicy touch. Dryish, peppery hoppy finish, lingering toast, coffee, faint raisin, warming dash of alcohol (whisky, calvados). Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. A bit too ‘green’ for my liking (the apple note sticks with me a long time) but otherwise well-made.

I Draught /I Head gone in secs to beige rim; near-black beer. Whisky/spirit nose; warm, sweet roast, aromatic, dried apples, dried fruit. Dry, roast, hint at bitterness; whisky flavour and a bit of coffee retronasal. Quite oily/slick, not very thick body. Low carbonation. Another good one from dK.

Fles gedronken met Inoven in 2016, rating overgezet van Untappd. Het is een oranje geel bier met een wit schuim Het heeft een hoppig frisse geur. De smaak is zoet en fruitig.

Clear dark brown beer, no head. Aroma: roasted, lots of alcohol, lots of diacetyl, caramel, butterscotch, more diacetyl, that's not good… MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of alcohol, some rum notes, more alcohol, bitter, very roasted, diacetyl flavours. Aftertaste: roasted, dry, more butter, diacetyl finish with lots of alcohol burning. What is this, Duvel? Amateur hour?

Cloudy black with no head. Aroma and flavour have a lot of woody dryness. Also sharp alcohol and sweet caramelised apples. A bit too boozy and raw though.

I Draught /I Greenish beige head, dwindling over jet-black beer. Alcoholic, booze, fusels, grapes/apples on brandy or rum, I boerejongens /I. Very roast/burnt main flavour with a sharp, burning alcohol lining. Again fruity notes, though I'd rather guessed winegrapes than apple. Fusely, rum, raisins on rum. Fiery, alcoholheat, thick & oozy feel. Medium carbonation. Quite serious R.I.S.

Many thanks for this beer to Eric De Geyter. Piana srednia ale trwala, barwa niemal klarowna bardzo jaskrawa i zloto zolta niemal jak slonce na niebie lub jak kto woli... jak zolte kamizelki:) W smaku ciutke brettow czuc, kremowany miod mniszkowy oraz nadpsuty ananas.

Many thanks for this beer to Eric De Geyter. Mala piana, klarowna zlota barwa, niemal jak pilsner, niemal jak nie Belgijskie piwo. A coz z przyprawami jest ich tak niewiele jak kropli w oceanie. Kardamon moze ciutke i kolendra, imbiru nie uraczylem, cytrynkowa skorka moze nieco bylo, ale coz z reszta chyba sie zagubily. Bardzo malo wyraziste piwo.
