Description
Looking for the real taste of Antwerp? Since 1833, there has been just one address: our Antwerp City Brewery. Because when people get together in Antwerp, they do so more often than not with a Bolleke Koninck in their hand. And that’s how De Koninck has become synonymous with Antwerp –and vice-versa. Every day, we work hard to uphold this proud tradition while also experimenting on ways to perfect and reinvent the taste of Antwerp.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Albert Heijn, Nieuwegein. Very pale clear yellow with a white head. Coriander, ginger and cardamon aroma along with some citrus. Sweet taste, light body. Too heavy on the spices for me

Bottle. Very slightly hazy golden, long lasting white head. Taste: Below medium sweet blonde with lightly hopnotes and very clearly yet subtle notes of my favorite yeast: Brett. The yeast is causing a very lightly sourness and makes you think of a farm barn and wet leather. Bretty finish. Nice balanced beer if you can appreciate brett.

Not half bad for a tripel, actually drinkable. Sweet, but not too much, yeasty and light. Fruity, bit watery.
