On tap at the Alibi Room for the 500th beer list, pours black with a small creamy tan head. Aroma is pretty briny, with seaweed-like notes, some roast, and light cocoa. Flavour is quite salty, with notes of seaweed, salt, chocolate, a touch of licorice, and roasted malt. Not as briny on the flavour as on the nose, but it is certainly saltier. Surprisingly well-balanced and well-brewed. Great experiment.

65cl Bottle brought from Canada, thanks H&T! Hazy ruby-brown to black colour, thin beige head. Aroma of loads of ground coffee, sour roastedness, berries. Flavour is much more mellow, coffee, some chocolate, oak, berries, light-bitter chocolate finish with some coffee. A bit fizzy, medium-bodied. Not a great brew, but quite tasty nonetheless.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Clear, orangey yellow with white head. Medium hop aroma mixed with bready caramel malt. Same taste. Mild bitterness, light-medium body. Flavours balance well, but little ’safe’ (read: a bit boring).

650 ml bottle. Pour a very dark bark brown brown with full off-white head. Aromas of dark brown sugar, salt water taffy, and the gum from an unsealed envelope (this is new one...). Salty flavors of chocolate and roasted malts. Kelp - really? Great experiment for the beer drinking kayaker, but odd... Maybe a good barrel aging base?

650mL bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is pretty light for a double IPA, with some piney and floral hops, and some biscuity malt. Flavour brings out loads of bitter piney hops, loads of crystal crackery malt, and some slight metallic notes. Very dry, somewhat metallic and bitter. Not the most dynamic of flavours. Drinkable, but fairly uninteresting.
